I’m Dr. Karen Perkins and we are in Newport Beach at the Speaking Empire Amplify event. I am the luckiest woman alive because I am with the beautiful, the talented, the one and only queen of podcasts, Miss Tracy Hazzard. Tracy, I understand that you’re not only the great goddess of podcasts but you’re the great goddess of helping me who knows nothing about it, how to be fully functional. How many days did you say?
Twenty-seven days or less.
I have an idea and I want to podcast. I have no clue how to do this. What do you have for me?
You have a business and you probably want to market it. You want to have your original voice come across. Wouldn’t it be great if you could take that voice without having to have your hair done and doing a video every single day, even if you like it, then take that and help it to power everything you do in your business, your blog posts, and your social media? Have it power everything by doing that in an audio way. Doing it quickly and recording it, getting to talk and be yourself.
How do I go about putting together the background stuff? Do I have to do a lot of work? Is it done for me?A podcast is like a TV show. You want to educate and entertain at the same time. #SpeakingEmpireEvent #DrKarenPerkins #videocastinterview Click To Tweet
You don’t have to do anything except knowing what you want to podcast about, who you want to talk to and let us do the rest for you.
If I understand this correctly, being the goddess of podcasts that you are, you’ve got all of the systems already set up, outlined and you’ve got all the processes. I’ll just turn it over to you and do the little things that you tell me to do, I show up and I talk.
That’s all you have to do. It’s that simple. You’re probably doing it already. You’re just going to record the conversations you have with your clients or conversations that you’re having with your friends, your colleagues, the people you work with, your joint venture partners, whoever they are. You’re going to start recording them and ask them more specific questions than you might’ve asked them before. You’re already going to do something you’re already doing. Skyping, how hard can that be?
If I’m not sure what questions to ask. Can you help me with that?
We can because you want to be focused. You want to have a very specific topic because the podcast is like a TV show. It’s entertainment, an edutainment. You want to educate and entertain at the same time. You got to make sure it’s in your wheelhouse, something that you’re an expert in or something that is a part of your business and you want to make it fun and entertaining. A little exciting.
That’s where we help out and inject it, make it look good, make it sound good, make it exciting and attractive to people. From there, you keep focusing on all those things that you already know that you’re an expert in. Keep adding topics and pain points that you want to help people with and adding successes and success stories that you want to highlight.
One of the things that you pointed out was the entertainment, edutainment or however you want to say it. We’re at the Speaking Empire Amplify event and they go into helping us to be presentainers and do other great things. I’m curious, if you were to share one wow that you’ve gotten from the event so far, what would that be?
My wow from this event is that the presentainer that they’re talking about is not all that different from the edutainer that we’re trying to get our podcasters to be. It’s tied together in exactly how you do it. If you’re already going through this and working through their process, you’ve already got all the things you need to formulate a great podcast as well. It can be one more thing that you plug in like a book that you have that you’re an expert in. “I’m a podcast host.” It sounds pretty good on your resume.
I need a podcast. Anybody who is coaching, consulting, speaking, has a small business, has a medium-sized business and probably some of the larger businesses need it too. I don’t have the time to do all the study and learning or the desire. I need it done for me. I need to come to Tracy Hazzard. Tracy, how in the world do I find you?
It’s simple. It’s PodcastStartPoint.com. That’s it. It can’t be simpler than that. We’re the place to start.
If you cannot remember you need a start point for podcasts, you probably need to remember that. Who’s the best person to contact you?
Anyone who wants to be a speaker, an author, an expert and you have that building already. It’s a great way for you to say, “I can draw an audience already.” If you want to go to that next level in business, you need to show that you can draw that audience. A podcast is a quick way to prove that without a lot of extra effort. If you’ve already got a video channel or any of those things, we can also strip the audio off and build you a new podcast instantly with no extra work.
I want to show myself as an expert in my industry, a podcast is a fabulous way to do that. Do you want to show yourself as the expert? Contact Tracy. She’s going to help you get there in 27 days or less. You have that done for you. Tracy, it has been such a delight meeting you. I’m excited about podcasts and I know they are going to be too.
Thank you so much.
